Social Events

We are planning a number of events such as a pub crawl through Nottingham's historic pubs, a live band and perhaps even some nightclubbing, in addition to the conference banquet.

Events scheduled so far:

• Wednesday 27th (ticket and schedule details here):

  • 5:30-6:30pm: Civic Reception in the City of Nottingham Council House, hosted by the Sheriff of Nottingham. Delegates will receive free tickets for this event as part of their registration.

  • 7:30pm: A Nottingham ghost walk! We have arranged a special ghost walk for Hypertext delegates only starting at 7:30pm, at a cost of GBP 4.00 per person. You can book tickets for this event by contacting Helen or Tim directly (payment will be collected when you arrive for the conference). There is a limit to the number of people who can go on this walk so if you want to go, please book early!

  • The pub crawls! Visits to three of Nottingham's lovely ancient pubs, led by a local

• Thursday 28th :

  7:30pm : Conference Dinner at the University Staff Club - a very pleasant dining area located in the graceful main campus of the University of Nottingham. Entertainment will be provided by Moose Malloy. Wine is included in the cost of the dinner and the bar will also be open for other drinks. Tickets are GBP25 per person and can be booked at the same time as registration.
